Elegant East Austin restaurant LaV is introducing some changes to its wine service and launching a special dinner series. The restaurant, home to more than 1,200 labels and more than 300 bottles priced below $100, is launching a Tuesday and Wednesday happy hour, with all bottles (at all price points) offered at half-price from 5 to 7 p.m.
Additionally, LaV’s extensive wine list now includes one page of “sommelier selections” between $30 and $130 to limit intimidation and save time searching. The list will include pairing suggestions and will rotate regularly.
As the restaurant approaches its first anniversary in early March, it is launching a four-date wine-dinner series with events on Feb. 18, Feb. 24, March 25 and March 31. For information on pricing and the various wines being celebrated, visit lavaustin.com/menu.
